Terms of Service

Effective date: July 11, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Kode Aap Inc. (Ontario, Canada — "we", "us") covering your use of the Friidai mobile app and the friidai.com website (together, the "Service"). By using Friidai, you agree to them.

1. The Service

Friidai is a productivity app: you capture tasks, and AI-assisted features help sort them into Signal and Noise, suggest priorities, and plan your day — optionally around your calendar. Features vary by plan and may change as we improve the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Friidai. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it to these terms.

3. Accounts and guest use

You can use Friidai as a guest — a random identifier is created for your device. Your data is tied to that device until you sign in.
You can optionally sign in with Google or Apple to keep your data across devices. Keep your sign-in credentials secure; you're responsible for activity under your account.
If you lose access to a guest account (for example, by deleting the app or losing the device), we may not be able to recover its data.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Friidai offers a free plan and paid plans (Friidai Plus and Friidai Pro) that unlock additional features and higher AI limits. Current pricing is shown in the app before you buy.
Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — never by us directly. Their payment terms apply.
Paid plans may include an introductory 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and renews automatically at the displayed price until cancelled.
Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies.
Free-plan limits (such as monthly AI actions and task caps) and plan features may be adjusted; we'll communicate material changes.

5. AI recommendations

AI suggests. You decide. Friidai's prioritization, categorization, and scheduling are automated suggestions — they can be wrong or incomplete, and you can change any of them. They are not professional, financial, legal, or medical advice. Friidai is a productivity tool, not a medical treatment, and makes no clinical claims.

You are responsible for the decisions you make and the tasks you act on. Always apply your own judgment to important commitments.

6. Your content

You own your content — your tasks, brain dumps, notes, and categories.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to operate and improve the Service (including sending relevant text to our AI providers to generate your results, as described in the Privacy Policy).
We don't use your content to train AI models.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service. In particular, you agree not to:

break the law or infringe others' rights while using the Service;
probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass limits or security of the Service (including circumventing plan limits);
reverse engineer or copy the Service except where the law permits;
resell or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering;
upload malicious code or content designed to harm the Service or its users.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service — including the Friidai name, logo, app, website, and design — belongs to Kode Aap Inc. and its licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights to our brand or software beyond the personal, non-transferable right to use the app as intended.

9. Termination

You can stop using Friidai at any time and request account deletion at support@friidai.com. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or harms the Service, and we'll be reasonable about it. Sections that by their nature should survive (like limitations of liability) survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kode Aap Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of CAD $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, unless the consumer-protection law where you live gives you the right to a different venue.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If changes are material, we'll update the effective date and give reasonable notice in the app or by email. Using the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
